ציווי

צורת הציווי באנגלית היא פשוט צורת הבסיס של הפועל, בלי נושא. היא אותה צורה לאדם אחד ולכמה אנשים.

• Open the window, please.
• Sit down.
• Turn left at the lights.

שלילה: Don't + בסיס.

• Don't touch that. It's hot.
• Don't be late.

ציווי שכולל גם אותנו: Let's + בסיס.

• Let's go to the beach.
• Let's not wait for the bus. Let's walk.

כדי שזה יישמע מנומס, מוסיפים please בהתחלה או בסוף: Please close the door. / Close the door, please.‎

שימו לב: אין to אחרי don't ו-let's: Don't run (לא Don't to run).‎
